We’d like you to help us welcome to our team our new Head Coach, Costela Muresan Mihaiuc. Coach Costela has spent her entire life involved in gymnastics. As a child she ascended to the level of Elite gymnast in Romania, including time spent on the Jr. National team and then went on to compete at the collegiate level in Romania. Beyond her success as a gymnast, she has enjoyed great success as a Coach in several countries, including taking several gymnasts from the ground up to compete for their respective countries (Romania, France, U.S.A)  at the National and Olympic levels.  

Some of her accomplishments include:

Coach Costela coached  National and Olympic Team members for Romania, including Mirela Pasca, who completed the 1992 Olympics tying for 2^nd place in the All- Around and taking 4^th on the Uneven Bars.

She served as a Judge for International competitions from 1997-2001 before moving to the United States and beginning her Coaching career at Tigar Gymnastics in Webster, Tx.

Coach Costela graduated from the National Physical and Sports Education Academy of Bucharest and obtained the title of Master of Sport by the Romanian Ministry of Youth and Sport for extraordinary achievements in Gymnastics.

Obviously, Coach Costela is extremely qualified, and we are very fortunate to have her working with the girls. Some of the goals that Coach Costela has for our team includes creating an optional and eventually elite level team as soon as possible, taking our TOPs program to elite levels, and developing champions at every level.

We are so very proud of our Discover Competitive Team Members! Our Level 4-6 teams (Boys and Girls) participated in last weekends' Houston National Invitational. It was a sea of Discover members on the Winners' podium. Special mention goes to 1st Place All-Around winners: Frankie P (Level 3), Camille M. (Level 5) and Dylan C. (Level 6)!
