Not ready to compete?
Still want to be recognized for your skills and ability?
Our Discover Stars program is the choice for you!

General Information

We are proud to introduce a new era in recreational gymnastics. In many other sports the athlete practices during the week and have the opportunity to show friends and family their accomplishments during a game on the weekend. We feel it is important for our gymnasts to have that same sense of accomplishment. Skills meets introduce our recreational gymnasts to competitive gymnastics. At these meets, each gymnast will perform a short routine of three skills on each of the four Olympic events. They will be judged on their individual performances. We feel it is important for every gymnast to leave the meet knowing they are winners. With this non-competitive format, participants will receive a ribbon for each event based on their ability to complete each skill. Athletes will not be placed against each other. Individual trophies will be awarded at the final meet of the season.

What Are The Benefits?

Skills meets provide a setting where each gymnast is recognized and rewarded for their individual performance of the required skills. These skill meets provide an arena to show what they are working on in their class, as well as showcase their progress throughout the season. Skills meets will help your child develop a sense of self-confidence and teamwork in a fun and safe environment.

Practice Days

We will be holding extra practices on Fridays before Skills Meets. We will also have a few extra practices in case you want the practice. These are always optional (not required) but we highly encourage each participant to attend. We will focus these practices on skills meet routines, meet etiquette - such as marching in, saluting the judges and how the event will run in general. This will make your child more comfortable and confident at the actual meet. If you sign up, pay and attend the practice your child can stay and participate in Parents Night Out for FREE!
